LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 24) - Alaska Anchorage senior Cortney Lundberg was honored for her outstanding 2010 season as she was named Wednesday to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's NCAA Division II All-West Region team.
A 6-1 middle blocker from Hardin, Mont., Lundberg finished No. 2 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and 10th nationally with 1.21 blocks per set. She also was second in the league with a .318 attack percentage and earned First-Team All-GNAC honors.
The 3-year transfer from Miles (Mont.) Community College finished as UAA's career record-holder in attack percentage at .306 and No. 5 in blocks per set (1.17).
Lundberg also helped the Seawolves rank No. 5 nationally in team blocking as they posted an 18-9 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
