Franklin Pierce Field Hockey's Lauren L'Heureux Named to Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll

RINDGE, N.H. (November 22, 2010) – Junior forward Lauren L’Heureux (Sanford, Maine) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Nov. 22, as announced Monday by the conference office.

The Ravens only game of the week last week was a 2-1 loss in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship. L’Heureux scored the only goal of the game for Franklin Pierce, as she stuffed home a rebound in the first half that gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead at the time.

On the season, L’Heureux scored a pair of goals to total four points and attempted nine shots (eight on goal). She played in 16 of the team’s 19 games and made one start.

The Ravens finished the season at 9-10 and posted a 6-4 record in Northeast-10 Conference play to earn their second postseason appearance in three years. The 6-4 record in league play marked the first time the program finished above .500 in the conference since 2000. It was the second year in a row the team finished with nine wins, which is two shy of the program record, set in 2000.
