Phoenix (11/1/10) – HPU junior forward Chance Bukoski has been selected the Pacific West Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. The honor was announced today by the PacWest Media Office for games played from October 25-31.
Bukoski netted two goals and recorded two assists to lead HPU to a 2-0 week. He scored the game-opening goal and then added a pair of assists in an 8-0 win over Chaminade, the team’s biggest win against the Swords in program history. He then forged a 1-1 tie in the 73rd minute at UH-Hilo in a game the Sea Warriors eventually won 3-2 in overtime.
Also named to the weekly honor roll for HPU were Richard Guffens, Mike Moloney, and Kimo Komomua. Each player posted two goals in HPU’s 8-0 win versus Chaminade, with Guffens adding a goal in the Sea Warriors’ overtime win against UH-Hilo.
HPU next takes on BYU-Hawaii this Thursday, November 4, in Laie before closing the season at home against UH-Hilo. Start time this Thursday versus the Seasiders is set for 12:30 p.m.
