Cindric, Pickert, Lorenz All Earn NE-10 Player of the Week Honors

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Leading Merrimack’s playoff push, seniors Molly Cindric (Westlake Village, CA), Alyssa Pickert (Tinley Park, IL) and Elyse Lorenz (Frankfurt, IL) were named the Northeast-10 Player, Libero and Setter of the Week Monday.

Cindric, the Northeast-10 Player of the Week for the third straight week, notched double-doubles in all three matches last week, all Merrimack victories, as the Warriors made it five straight wins, beating Southern NH 3-1, Pace 3-1, and Adelphi 3-0. Averaging 5.91 kills and 3.82 digs per set, she also tallied a career-high 31 kills in the victory over Pace, while hitting .293 for the week.

Pickert, who became first player in school history to reach 2,000 career digs against Southern New Hampshire on October 22, averaged 5.73 digs per set last week, while Lorenz notched double-doubles against Southern NH and Pace, while netting 12 assists and 3.09 digs per set.

Merrimack (10-13, 8-6 NE-10) visits Franklin Pierce Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a non-conference match before hosting Assumption College Saturday at 5 p.m. The Warriors can lock up a playoff berth with a victory over the Greyhounds.

Northeast-10 Tournament play will begin Tuesday, November 9 with the four top seeds hosting.
