Gannon Women's Basketball Team Ends 19-day Break Saturday Against Urbana

The Gannon women's basketball team will end a 19-day break on Saturday when they face NCAA Division II Independent Urbana at 5:30 p.m. Following the women's home opener, the Gannon men will take on Urbana at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Knights original home opener was scheduled for Thursday, December 9 against Central State, but was rescheduled due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a men's-women's doubleheader on Monday, February 7. The women will play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.

Gannon's last action came back during the California (Pa.) Tournament. The Lady Knights defeated Molloy and Wilmington (Del.) by scores of 66-51 and 75-50 respectively.

Urbana makes its second trip to Erie in four days after falling to Mercyhurst 73-47. Prior to that the Blue Knights earned wins against Clarion (60-53) and Slippery Rock (66-62).
