Lynn's Kyle Conrad Collects ESPN Academic All-America Honors

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Continuing the trend of excelling on the field as well as the classroom, Lynn University’s men’s soccer team saw Kyle Conrad honored as an ESPN Second Team Academic All-American.  Conrad becomes the 27th Academic/Scholar All-American selection in program history and 11th individual to be selected multiple times.

A third team honoree last year, the senior out of Jensen Beach, Fla., posted a 3.79 grade-point average as a sports & recreation management major.  This season, Conrad led the Fighting Knights in goals (11) and points (26) while tying for the lead in assists (4).  In addition, he became just the fourth player in school history, and first player in the last 15 years, to reach 100 career points, joining Jakob Lorenzton, Neathan Gibson and Lenin Steenkamp.

This award adds to the distinguished career of Conrad.  He became the first student-athlete at Lynn, for any sport, to earn ESPN First Team Academic All-District accolades three times.  He was also recognized as a three-time All-South Region and two-time All-SSC pick.

Lynn went 8-8 overall and 2-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
