MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Junior Michael Davis was named to the 2010 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) All-State Men’s Soccer Team the organization announced Thursday.
Davis grabbed one of three defender spots on the team as he finished his junior campaign. He represents the Braves as a two-time all-state selection landing on the squad two years ago as a freshman. On the back line, he started in all 18 of the matches with one goal as he earned a Peach Belt all-conference award. He has anchored the UNCP defense over the last three seasons logging over 5,000 minutes while maintaining the position of captain for the last two seasons.
Wingate sent four players to while Mars Hill, Lenoir-Rhyne, Catawba, Guilford, Barton, and Belmont Abbey join UNCP adding one apiece to the all-state squad.
