Riley Named PSAC East Field Hockey Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University field hockey standout Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Huskies to a 2-0 record last week.

Riley had a goal and three assists in wins over Slippery Rock and C.W. Post to close out the regular season and clinch the top seed in the PSAC East playoffs this weekend. Against The Rock, Riley had two assists to lead the Huskies to a 3-1 victory. In the regular season finale on Saturday, Riley had a goal and an assist on route to a 4-0 win for Bloomsburg.

Riley is the team’s leading scorer this season with 16 goals and 14 assists. She is first in the PSAC in assists and second in total points. Her 14 assists are the sixth most in a season in school history.

Bloomsburg will host the PSAC champinships Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20. The Huskies will face Mansfield in the semifinals Friday at 2:30 p.m.
