The women’s game will tip off at 4 p.m. in the Smith University Center.  Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students with FMU students being admitted free with a valid identification card.

Francis Marion and first-year head coach Kate Glusko are off to a 2-0 start behind the play of sophomore guard Courtney Mealing (24.5 ppg) and seniors Shannon Singleton-Bates (18.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and Robin Colbert (12.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 6.5 steals per game).  With her 17-point performance on Tuesday against Morris College, Singleton-Bates moved into sole possession of 17th place on the Patriot career scoring list with 1,251 points.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The unbeaten Patriot men (4-0) will face Shaw University (1-0) at 2 p.m. on Friday in the opening game of Wingate’s tournament. Wingate (1-2) will face Coker College (1-2) in the second game at 4 p.m. in the Bulldogs’ Cuddy Arena.

Both Francis Marion squads will open Peach Belt Conference play on the road at USC Aiken on Wednesday night, Dec. 1.
