MELBOURNE, Fla. (Women’s Soccer) – Florida Tech junior goalkeeper Mist Eliasdottir was named CS360 Primetime Performer of the Week for Division II, College Soccer 360 announced on Tuesday. The honor reflected the period of Nov. 15-21.
Eliasdottir was nothing less than stellar between the posts last week as she helped the Panthers earn their first-ever trip to the NCAA Final Four. In a pair of matches, she surrendered just two goals, while making 11 saves for an outstanding 0.82 goals against average and an impressive .846 save percentage.
The Keflavik, Iceland native, who was also named a Panther Student-Athlete of the Week, performed at a high level under even the most challenging of situations for a goalkeeper, penalty kicks. She turned away two shots in the South Region Final against Tampa and one blast in the quarterfinal round versus Lenoir-Rhyne. To top it off, Eliasdottir volunteered to take the Panthers’ sixth penalty kick in their shootout against the Bears. Despite the pressure, she punched it into the net, evening up the shootout.
Notre Dame’s Rose Augustin and William Smith’s Brelynn Naspany were named CS360’s Primetime Performers of the Week for Division I and III, respectively.
Eliasdottir and the Panthers will oppose Grand Valley State in the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. in Louisville, Ky.
