Merrimack’s Peacock Named to Daktronics All-Region Second Team

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- Junior defender Jessica Peacock (Hopedale, Mass.) of the Merrimack women’s soccer team was recently named to the Daktronics All-Regional Second Team.

Peacock netted four goals this season and dished out four assists, ranking her second on the team with 12 points. A Northeast-10 all-conference first team honoree, she anchored a defense that allowed just 1.00 goals per game. Peacock started all 18 games that she appeared in this season for the Warriors.

The junior helped Merrimack to a No. 16 national ranking during the season and a second-place finish in the Northeast-10 Conference. After playing to a 1-1 draw with UMass Lowell in the NE-10 quarterfinals, the Warriors advanced on penalty kicks 5-4. Merrimack was eliminated by Franklin Pierce in the semifinals 4-2.

The Warriors finished the season with a 12-5-3 overall record and an 11-3-1 mark in the league.
