GSC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

EAST DIVISION
              
West Florida guard/forward Jamar Moore (JR, 6-6, 215, Coolidge, GA) earned his first-ever award, recording a pair of double-doubles en route to All Tournament Team honors at the Alaska Invitational.
              
The junior transfer averaged 15.0 points and 3.0 assists in just 24.7 minutes, while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor and 41.7 percent from three-point range.  Moore began the week by netting 16 points in 19 minutes of a 101-90 loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith.  Next, the Coolidge, GA native led the Argonauts to a 79-78 triumph over King College by netting 16 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds in 29 minutes.  Moore capped the tournament with 13 points along with game-highs in rebounds (10) and assists (six) in 26 minutes of an 83-74 setback to Alaska-Fairbanks.

WEST DIVISION
              
Arkansas-Monticello guard LA Farmer (JR, 6-1, 175, Carrollton, GA) captures his first-ever honor after leading UAM to a 2-0 start a week ago.
              
 The junior averaged 24.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 37.5 minutes, while shooting 42.5 percent from the field.  Farmer led the Boll Weevils to an 82-70 victory at Division I Centenary College, playing all 40 minutes while netting a team-high 19 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.  The Carrollton, GA native capped the week, posting a double-double in an 86-51 home win over Shepherd Tech, thanks to a game-best 30 points and 12 rebounds in 35 minutes.  He became the first UAM player to score 30 points in game since 2007.
