Griffon Soccer Player Sarah Brimeyer receives Academic All-District Honors

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western soccer player Sarah Brimeyer was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Second Team as voted on by the districts Sports Information Directors. This marks the second consecutive season the she has been named to a team as she was third team last season.

Brimeyer a senior defender out of Ames, Iowa holds a 3.95 GPA in Nursing and has started every game since stepping on campus her freshman season. Brimeyer has helped the Griffons hold their opponents to just 1.33 goals per game. She has helped her team accumulate three shutouts on the season.

The Griffons will play their final two games of the season this week hosting the Emporia State Hornets on Thursday, November 4 and hosting the Truman State Bulldogs on Saturday, November 6 at 2:00 pm. Saturday will be Senior Day at Spratt Stadium.

Missouri Western State University (located in St. Joseph, Mo.) is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
