Grand Canyon Men's Soccer Ranked No. 15 in Nation, No. 2 in West in NSCAA Poll

This week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll was released earlier this morning, and the Grand Canyon University men's team is ranked No. 15 in the nation and No. 2 in the West Region.

That's five spots higher than the Antelopes (12-2-2 overall, 10-1-1 in the Pacific West Conference) were ranked nationally last week and one spot above where they were ranked regionally.

"It's a beautiful thing," Head Coach Petar Draksin said. "If you play intercollegiate athletics, that's what you're striviing for, having the highest ranking possible regionally and nationally. I'm very proud of our team that competes day in and day out. All credit goes to the players for responding."

GCU has just two regular-season games remaining, against Chaminade University (1-12-1, 0-11-1) at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday at the GCU Soccer Field. Friday's game will be Senior Day, and all of the team's seniors will be honored for their contributions to the program and the university in general.
