Boedicker led Gannon to a come-from-behind 24-20 victory at Slippery Rock last Saturday, helping the Golden Knights finish third in the PSAC Western Division. The senior quarterback rolled up 210 yards of total yards of offense, including a season-high 117 rushing yards on 11 carries. It represented his second 100-yard rushing performance of the season and fifth of his career.
The Northfield, Ohio native accounted for all three Gannon touchdowns with either his arm or legs. His 61-yard touchdown run with 58 seconds left in the third quarter gave Gannon its first lead of the afternoon and provided the final 24-20 score. He threw two touchdowns in the second quarter, including one with 30 seconds left in the first half.
Gannon (6-4, 4-3) secured the program’s first back-to-back winning seasons since 1995 with Saturday’s victory. The Golden Knights finished with a 3-2 road record, representing the program’s first winning road mark since the 2003 squad was 5-1 away from home.
Gannon concludes the regular season Saturday, November 13 against 15th-ranked Kutztown at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled for 12 noon.
