Fuller sisters Headline HPU Women’s Soccer All-PacWest Selections

Phoenix – Sisters Meghan and Amber Fuller were named to the PacWest Women’s Soccer All-Conference First Team, announced today by the PacWest Media Office. Both players repeated their First-Team All-Conference selections from 2009 where Meghan Fuller was named Freshman and Newcomer of the Year.

Meghan Fuller played in 16 games at forward for the Lady Sea Warriors, notching nine goals to finish third in the PacWest in that category. She was also third in points per game (1.12) and goals per game (0.56). Fuller also tied for third in gamewinning goals, posting four on the season.

Amber Fuller played in 16 games as a center midfielder. She tied for fifth in the PacWest in assists per game (0.19), notching three on the season, and posted five goals and three gamewinners.

Also earning postseason honors were Yasmina Taketa, Carianne Makino, and Liana Gualdarama who each were named to the Second Team. Sophomore Sanoe Souza earned Honorable Mention honors. Gualdarama repeated her Honorable Mention selection from a year ago and Makino was last season’s Goalkeeper of the Year.

The Sea Warriors finished 9-8 overall and 9-5 in conference. They won seven of their final eight matches to climb to a fourth place finish in the PacWest.
