Daktronics Women’s Soccer Central Region Team Announced

ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Daktronics Women’s Soccer NCAA Division II Central Region teams were announced today with the NSIC represented by nine individuals from five different institutions.

NSIC Offensive Player of the Year Ashlee Ellefsen of Bemidji State and Defensive Player of the Year Anna Belpedio of Winona State were both names to the first team. They were joined by Minnesota Duluth's Maria Leider and Reegan Llyod. The first team selections, made up of four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and a goalkeepers will now be placed on the national ballot for Daktronics All-America honors that will be announced Dec. 1.

On the second team were Bemidji State's Alysha Domiano, Northern State's Maggie Fedor, Upper Iowa's Valeria Ptasinski and Winona State's Megan Rowland and Lauren Sturdivant.  

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the Central Region, made up of 25 women’s soccer playing institutions in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
