CSM volleyball earns berth to NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament

GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 14, 2010) - Colorado School of Mines has qualified for the 2010 NCAA Division II volleyball championships.  Mines has earned the # 8 seed in the Central Region.

The 2010 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament will be held on Thursday - Saturday, November 18th - 20th, at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn.

# 8 seed Mines (19-9 overall) will play at # 1 seed Southwest Minnesota State University (26-3 overall) in the quarterfinals on Thursday, November 18th, at 6:30 p.m. MDT (7:30 p.m. CDT - local time) at the PE Gym.

The semifinals for the eight-team Central Region Tournament will be held on Friday, November 19th, and the championship match will take place on Saturday, November 20th.

The winner of the Central Region Tournament will advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on Thursday - Saturday, December 2nd - 4th, at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky.

Ticket prices for the tournament are $8.00 for adult general admission.  Children 5-and-under are free.
