Kahrs named RMAC, Nebraska Division II Defensive Player of the Week

Chadron State College’s Kelen Kahrs has been named both the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Nebraska Division II Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Eagles’ 31-21 victory at Mesa State.

Kahrs, a senior linebacker from Franklin, Neb., helped CSC finish the season with an 8-3 record by accumulating 12 tackles and six quarterback hurries in a 31-21 victory at Mesa State. Kahrs also had two tackles for loss to help lead the defense which allowed the Mavericks to gain just 129 yards.

Kahrs started all 11 of CSC’s games this season and was second on the team with 61 tackles. He led the Eagles with 12 tackles for loss.
