Winter Park, Fla. – Two more Lynn University men’s soccer players can add their names to the long list of multiple All-Sunshine State Conference honorees after the league announced the teams on Thursday. Scott Gordon was a second team pick while Kyle Conrad earned honorable mention recognition. The Fighting Knights have now garnered 85 selections since being eligible for conference honors in 1998.
Voting for the All-SSC men’s soccer team was conducted among the league’s men’s soccer coaches and sports information directors.
Gordon, a senior from Boca Raton, Fla., was an honorable mention selection last season despite seeing action in only 11 games. This year, he anchored the Blue & White defense while showing flashes of his offensive prowess. Gordon tallied a career-high three goals and six points and helped LU to four clean sheets.
Capping off an illustrious career with the Fighting Knights, Conrad became the fourth player in program history with 100 career points. Needing 26 points to reach the century mark, the Jensen Beach, Fla., product did just that by leading Lynn with 11 goals, four assists and 26 points. In addition to his points milestone, Conrad became the first student-athlete at LU, for any sport, to be honored as a three-time ESPN First Team Academic All-District selection.
Lynn closed out the season 8-8 overall and 2-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
