Bloomsburg Huskies Move to Second in Regional Football Rankings

BLOOMSBURG--The Bloomsburg University football team moved from fifth to second in the latest NCAA Division II Super One regional rankings.

The Huskies,9-1, are coming off a 61-35 win over previously unbeaten Kutztown which gave Bloomsburg the PSAC Eastern Division title for the first time since 2006. Bloomsburg will now play for the PSAC championship on Saturday against Mercyhurst, ranked fourth in this week's poll. Kutztown, which was ranked second last week, dropped to third this week. Shepherd University of West Virginia remains the top seed in the region.

The top six teams in the poll after next week's games will earn a trip to the NCAA playoffs. Earned access to playoffs can be gained by a conference if a conference representative finishes in the top eight of the super regional rankings.
