Last Week
The Warriors had a week of rest after finishing 1-1 in non-conference play at the CCAA/PacWest Challenge.  The Warriors won in overtime for the second time this season against Notre Dame de Namur with a score of 81-80.  Unable to hold down a #21 ranked Grand Canyon the Warriors fell 70-62 to the Antelopes.

Watch out for a Strong Warrior Defense
The Warriors have used defense as a key to their winning this season ... every contest thus far the Warriors have recorded fewer turnovers and more steals.  In the first eight contests played Stanislaus has recorded a 133 turnovers to an opponents 188 turnovers.  They have also recorded 84 steals to an opponents total of 59 steals.  Katie Busi leads the team with 21 steals and an average of 2.6 steals per game ... following is Andreanna Marshall averaging 1.6 steals per game, Christin Gowan with a 1.4 steals per game, and Jeanette Rowe has a 1.3 steals per game average.

Double-Double for Busi

Marshall an offensive asset
Senior guard Andreanna Marshall had two double digit nights with 12 points against NDNU and 10 points against Grand Canyon, increasing her streak to five consecutive contests.  This is Marshalls best start to date with a total of 107 points ... she only needs 82 more points to match her high of 189 points from the 2009-10 season.  Marshall becoming a leader for the Warriors as she is second on the team with an average of 13.4 points per game.  Also, leading on the foul line, Marshall is currently 25 for 31 with an .806 percentage.
