PORTALES, N.M. — Senior Tillman Stevens (S, Baytown, Texas/Sterling HS) and Jessie Poku (WR, Murphy, Texas/Richardson HS) from the Eastern New Mexico University football team has been selected to the 2010 All-LSC Scoop Football Team, for their outstanding efforts on the field during the 2010 season. Both players made First Team All-Lone Star Conference North Division.
Stevens led the Lone Star Conference and finished tied for seventh in the nation, with 11.1 tackles per game. He also tied for the conference lead and 11th in the country with six interceptions, including one, which her returned 62 yards for a score against Central Oklahoma. Earlier this week, Stevens was selected First Team Daktronics All-Super Region 4.
Poku completed his career as the Hounds’ all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. As a senior, he finished 12th in the country and second in the LSC with 7.8 receptions per game. He also was 37th in the NCAA Division II and fourth in the conference in receiving yards per contest. In his final season, Poku set career highs in receptions (86), yards (932) and touchdowns (11).
