ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University women's hoops (4-3, 1-0 GLVC) finishes their two-game trip to St. Louis with a conference contest against Missouri-St. Louis (3-3, 0-1 GLVC) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY: Lewis leads the all-time series with the Tritons 18-6.

THE LAST TIME WE MET: Lewis defeated the Tritons 80-65 on Dec. 13, 2009 last season. Kady Currin had 17 points in the contest.

LAST TIME OUT: The Flyers never trailed in a 77-56 victory over Maryville on Thursday evening. Jenny Turpel had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.

DOUBLE-TROUBLE: Turpel's double-double on Thursday was the 19th of her career and her second of the year. She had 12 last season.

SO CLOSE...: Senior Kady Currin tied a career-high with nine assists in Lewis' win over Maryville on Thursday. Her other nine-assist game came in Lewis' loss to Drury in the GLVC Tournament last season.

MONACO'S BEST: Senior Kelly Monaco did not come up short in her career-high attempt on Thursday. After making five 3-pointers in a contest twice in her career, she made six for the first time against Maryville to finish with 18 points.

THREE!: Senior Kelly Monaco's 20 3-pointers this season is tied for the conference lead. Quincy's Stephanie Wagner has also made 20.

TOPS: Kady Currin's 6.14 assists per game is first in the GLVC.

THE KRUCK STOPS HERE: Senior Carol Kruckman has scored in double-digits in three of Lewis' last five games. She had 14 vs. Wayne State, 11 vs. Ferris State and scored a career-high 18 against Marygrove. Her 51 points this season are the most for a Lewis non-starter.

ON PACE FOR A RECORD: Lewis ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage, making 105-of-126 attempts (83.3 percent). Lewis' single-season record for free throw percentage was set in 2003-04 at 77.0 percent.

BLOCK PARTY: Lewis leads the conference in blocks with an average of 4.71 per game and 33 total.

FOR OPENERS: Lewis has started the GLVC slate 2-0 in each of head coach Lisa Carlsen's first three seasons at Lewis. Thanks to the Flyers' victory on Thursday at Maryville, Lewis can make it four straight seasons with a victory on Saturday.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE VISIION: Lewis (Lauren Mead, Jenny Turpel and Lory Shaw) is one of three teams in the GLVC to have three different players record a double-double this year. Maryville and Drury are the other two.

FLYING HOME: First-year assistant coach Cliff Evans is a former member of the Lewis men's basketball team, earning All-GLVC Second Team honors in 1985. Evans is one of two former Flyers on the Lewis bench. Tracy Summers played for the Flyers from 2000-04.

DON'T PLAN A VACATION IN JANUARY: Of Lewis' nine GLVC home games this season, seven are in the month of January. The schedule includes a four games in eight days stretch on Jan. 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th.

NO OT NEEDED: Lewis didn't play a single overtime game last season.

THEY CALL HER MONEY: Kelly Monaco, known as Money to her teammates, ranks 5th all-time in career 3-pointers with 156. She needs nine to pass current assistant coach Tracy Summers' 164 (2000-04) for 4th place.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, LAKESHORE: Lewis will play two games on Lakeshore Public Television this season. The first contest will be on Saturday, Jan. 8 against Quincy at 5:30. The second will be on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 5:30 against Drury. Lewis defeated Missouri-St. Louis and Southern Indiana on Lakeshore last season.

JT's CAREER POINTS: Jenny Turpel's 1,468 points ranks 7th all-time in Lewis history. Another 500-point season would put her 2nd all-time in Lewis history. First up though is 6th place Mary Niego, who totaled 1,563 from 1980-83.

JT's CAREER BLOCKS: Jenny Turpel's 92 blocks ranks 5th all-time in Lewis history. She is three short of passing Jackie Wayne (1987-91) for 4th place. For her career, Turpel is averaging exactly one block a game.

NEXT UP: Lewis returns to non-conference play on Saturday, Dec. 11 with a home contest against No. 14 Grand Valley State. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
