Metro State's Morley (Parker, Colo.) Named All-America

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Metro State volleyball player Bri Morley was named honorable mention All-America by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Monday.  It was the second year in a row she was honored by the AVCA after earning third team All-America in 2009.

Morley, a junior outside hitter from Parker, Colo., led the Roadrunners in kills this season, totaling 458 in 122 sets played, an average of 3.75 per set.  She also hit .234 and averaged 4.29 points per set, adding 52 blocks and 31 aces this season.  She currently ranks 30th in the nation in kills per set and 36th in points per set.

Metro State reached the NCAA Central Region semifinals before falling to three-time defending national champion and top-ranked Concordia-St. Paul.  The Roadrunners had a 25-7 record this year, their second straight 25-win season and the fifth in Head Coach Debbie Hendricks' 11th year at Metro State. They have topped the 20-win mark in nine of those years.
