Saint Anselm's Harris Named as Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week

Easton, Mass. (November 29) -- Saint Anselm freshman forward Allen Harris (Roslindale, Mass.) has been honored as the Northeast-10 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week. Harris averaged 18.5 points and eight rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Hawks.

After starting the week with a 14-point, six-rebound effort in a road loss at Bentley, Harris posted his first career double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a home win over Franklin Pierce. Harris shot 9-for-13 from the field in the win over the Ravens, shooting 69.2 percent in the game.

Saint Anselm is off to a 4-1 start and a 2-1 mark in the Northeast-10. The Hawks return to action on Wednesday night as the team travels to Stonehill to take on the Skyhawks at Merkert Gym beginning at 7:30 p.m.
