Lady Sea Warriors Enter Hoop ‘N Surf Classic

Honolulu, HI (12/13/10) – The HPU women’s basketball team continues non-conference play this week with a pair of games at the annual Malika Sports Hoop ‘N Surf Classic. The Lady Sea Warriors play the University of Charleston on Wednesday, December 15, and then face Fayetteville State the next day.

HPU (3-3) is being led by senior forward Jazzmin Awa-Williams who leads the team with 11.1 points per game and 2.8 assists per game. Junior guard Paris Gravely has come on as of late, averaging 15.5 points per game and posting nine steals and 12 rebounds during HPU’s current two-game win streak.

This will be HPU’s first-ever meetings with Charleston and Fayetteville State.

Following the tournament, HPU will have two weeks off before playing Westminster College on New Year’s Day at the Neal Blaisdell Center.
