Larry Brown (Jr, F, St. Paul, Minn.) is averaging 13.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Jacolby Anderson (Jr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 11.4 points per game. Adam Hendricks (Sr, G, Watertown, Minn.) is averaging 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

The Mustangs have an overall record of 5-5 and NSIC record of 2-4 after dropping a 68-66 decision to Winona State University on December 17 and a 75-74 overtime decision to Upper Iowa University on December 18. The Mavericks have an overall record of 9-1 and NSIC record of 5-1 after defeating Upper Iowa University 87-72 on December 17 and 20th ranked Winona State University by an 80-74 score on December 18. MSU is ranked 16th in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll. They are led by Jefferson Mason who is averaging 16.6 points and seven rebounds per game. Marcus Hill is averaging 16 points per game. Cameron Hodges is averaging 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
