Brownley, Reckley Score Goals in South’s 4-1 Win in NFHCA Division II Senior Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Midfielder Joanna Reckley had a goal and an assist and forward Caitlin Brownley scored a goal on a penalty stroke as East Stroudsburg University’s players figured heavily into the South’s 4-1 win over the North squad in the NFHCA Division II Senior Game on Friday at the University of Louisville.

Back Kayla Cilenti also represented the Warriors in the annual All-Star game, which was held on the day between the semifinals and finals at the site the Division II Final Four.

Reckley and Cilenti were both first team All-PSAC East selections, leading a conference-best five Warriors on the first team. Brownley was named to the first team in 2009. Brownley and Reckley were named to the NFHCA Division II All-America team last year as well.

ESU’s three participants were among eight senior starters on a team that went 17-6 and was selected to play in the NCAA Division II Tournament for the second straight year.

The Warriors upset Shippensburg, 2-1, to reach the PSAC championship game for the second time in school history before falling to Bloomsburg in the PSAC final and the first round of the NCAA Playoffs.
