Tusculum's Fullen, York listed in Golfstat Statistics

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- Tusculum College’s Luke Fullen and Nick York are listed in the latest Golfstat Division II statistics.  The Pioneers are also ranked No. 7 in the nation in par 4 scoring as a team (4.12).

Fullen, a senior from Greeneville, Tenn., is second in the nation in par 5 scoring, averaging 4.46 strokes per hole.  Fullen leads the Pioneers with a 70.88 stroke average as he finished in the top 10 in all four tournaments this past fall.  He posted a runner-up finish at the Tusculum Fall Classic and finished the fall season strong shooting par or better in his last five competitive rounds.

York, a sophomore from Kingsport, Tenn., is ranked in the top 25 nationally in both par 4 and par 5 scoring.  His 4.04 average on par 4 holes is 23rd in the country, while his 4.64 average on par 5’s is 25th.  York is second on the team with his 71.25 scoring average.  After finishing 21st at the Anderson Invitational to start the season, York has rebounded with three top five performances, including medalist honors at the Lincoln Memorial University Fall Invitational last month where he posted a seven-under par 137.  In his last three tournaments, he is averaging 69.83 strokes per round.

The Pioneers enjoyed one of their best fall seasons in school history as Tusculum finished in the top four in all four of its tournaments including team titles at the Anderson Invitational and the LMU Fall Invitational.

Tusculum returns to action Feb. 7-8, 2011 at the Outback Steakhouse Invitational in Panama City, Fla.
