Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville baseball team has set dates for its winter clinics. On Jan. 15, the coaching staff led by head coach Jon Shehan, will host a youth hitting clinic and a clinic for pitchers and catchers. The hitting and pitchers/catchers clinics for high school athletes will be held on Feb. 5.

All four sessions run for three hours and are held inside Millersville's Brooks Gymnasium. The cost for each is $35 per athlete. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon.

The Marauder coaching staff includes Shehan, a former PSAC East Coach of the Year and Chris Shehan, who was a Division I First Team All-American. Both played professional baseball in the Atlanta Braves' system. Also, pitching coach Bob Preli was a professional catcher and has more than 30 years of coaching experience.

The pitching and catching clinics  will focus on mechanics, arm care, strength and conditioning and mental training. Catchers will work on techniques, pitch calling and handling a pitching staff. All players will receive video analysis with Right View Pro.

The hitting clinics will provide instruction on "The Mechanics of the Major League Swing." Hitters will receive video analysis with Right View Pro, as well as instruction on the load, the use of the lower half in the swing, correct bat path/plane of pitch, the mental approach and bunting.
