Three Coker Student-Athletes named Academic All-American by NFCA

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College Softball Coach, David Hanna, announced today that three student-athletes have been selected as Academic All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for the 2009-10 academic year.

In order to qualify for the academic honor each student-athlete must have acquired a 3.5 GPA or greater for the year.

The following Lady Cobras received this prestigious honor: senior Sydney Greenwalt (Edwardsville, Ill.), junior Becky Dillon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and former Lady Cobra Anna Oswald. This is the third time that Greenwalt has received this honor and the second time the Dillon has been named a Academic All-American.

Coker opens their 2011 season on February 18, as they host Brooklyn College in a non-conference double-header starting at 1:00 p.m.
