MEMPHIS, Tenn. - One of University of Tampa women's soccer players was represented among 28 student-athletes from various institutions to make up the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II South Regional team. UT's Courtney Peffley was selected with such honors garnering a spot on the second team.
Peffley, a midfielder out of Rheems, Pa. currently leads the team in both assist (13) and points (17). Daughter of Amy Peffley, the sophomore has tabbed two goals this year with one of them registering as a game-winner. The five-foot-ten Spartan whom has already been tabbed as a second team all-SCC candidate has notched an overall season record of 16-5-1 and helped limit her opponents to just 17 goals and aided in the connection of 42 Tampa scores.
Voting for the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II South Region Womens's Soccer Team was powered by UT partner ATHLETICSITE.COM and voted on by the regional members of D2-SIDA.
