Pitt-Johnstown's Novak, Aden Tabbed WVIAC Basketball Players of Week

Mountain Cat sophomore guard Nick Novak (Murrysville, Pa.) was named WVIAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, and Lady Cat senior guard Sheena Aden (Sandy Lake, Pa.) earned conference women's basketball player of the week the when the first honors of the 2010-11 season were given out on Monday.
    
Novak shares the men's player of the week honors with Alderson-Broaddus(WV)  College's Nate Barnes.  Novak recorded a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists as the Mountain Cats opened with a league win over Concord.  Novak also chipped in five rebounds during the victory.  Barnes averaged 29.5 points 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as the Battlers took regional victories against Edinboro University and Slippery Rock University.
    
Aden led Pitt-Johnstown to a 68-66 overtime win over Concord by contributing 26 points, five rebounds, and five steals.  In addition, a pair of Aden free-throws with 21 seconds remaining in the contest accounted for the Lady Cats' winning margin.  She hit on 11 of 16 field goals and made all four of her free-throw attempts.
