Otovic Chosen CACC Player of the Week for Men's Basketball

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell Junior guard Nik Otovic (Kraljevo, Serbia) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 21, the league announced today. Otovic averaged 21.0 points, 3.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game to lead the Cougars to two victories last week.

In a 77-75 victory at Mercy College on Tuesday, Otovic tallied a game-high 17 points to go with three assists and two steals. The performance came in the first game of the season for Otovic, who missed Caldwell's first two games due to an injury. He followed up Tuesday's effort with a career-best 25 points to lead the Cougars to an 88-70 triumph over the University of New Haven in the George R. Newman Center on Saturday. Otovic, who has switched from point guard to shooting guard this season, was 8-of-11 from the field, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, and had four assists and three steals.

The Cougars (2-2) begin Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play on Tuesday, Dec. 7 with a league game at Nyack College. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. in Nyack, N.Y.
