Mules football to host West Texas A&M in NCAA Playoffs

(Warrensburg, Mo.) – The University of Central Missouri Mules football squad learned that it will be the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Playoffs this Saturday, and it will host fifth seeded West Texas A&M at 1:00 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.

It is the Mules’ (9-2, 8-1 MIAA) second NCAA Playoff appearance in school history (2002), and the first home playoff game ever at UCM. The Buffaloes (8-3, 8-2 LSC) are in the playoffs for the fifth time in the last six seasons.

The Super Region Four bracket features three MIAA teams and three Lone Star Conference teams, with the top two seeds receiving first round byes. Abilene Christian is the number one seed, awaiting the winner of the Mules-Buffaloes contest on November 27. Texas A&M-Kingsville is the second seed. The Javelinas will play the winner of an All-MIAA game as sixth-seeded Missouri Western will play at No. 3 seed Northwest Missouri State this Saturday.

             Below are the ticket prices for the game this weekend. UCM season ticket holders will have until Thursday at 5:00 p.m. to purchase their normal seats, as they will be released to the public on Friday morning.

Students (7-18, plus college students with I.D.) - $3.00
General Admission - $10.00
Bleacher Reserved - $12.00
Regular Reserved - $15.00

Fans wishing to reserve tickets may call the Central Missouri ticket office at 660-543-4063 during normal business hours. Fans can also stop by in person in the Multipurpose Building, room 101.
West Texas fans wishing to sit on the visitor’s side behind the WTAMU bench should purchase general admission tickets.
