LAS VEGAS, N.M.- Adams State College senior Ryan McNiff (Los Alamos, N.M.) won the individual title while the nation's top-ranked Grizzly men's cross country team claimed their sixth consecutive and 33rd overall Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team title, Saturday here at the Gene Torres Golf Course.
The top-ranked Grizzly women, running without RMAC Preseason Runner of the Year Alicia Nelson (Craig, Colo.) due to injury, finished second behind No. 6 Western State as they saw their run of eight straight conference team titles ended. Grizzly senior Kristen McGlynn (Bailey, Colo.) took second behind Mesa State's Alexis Skarda, the first non-Adams State or Western State women to win the individual title in 25 years.
Complete results were not available from RMAC Championship host New Mexico Highlands University officials as of 5:30 p.m., Saturday but will be posted along with a full recap as soon as they are.
