EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior Lindsey Lullo has been named the Championship Award Guys Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after finishing her career ranked second in digs for the women’s volleyball program.
Lullo (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) compiled 1,611 digs over four seasons, and just two as a full-time starter at libero. She had 599 digs for an average of 5.0 per set as a senior to rank fifth in the PSAC.
Lullo was second in the PSAC and eighth in Division II with 5.7 digs per set during her junior season, when she was named to the AVCA All-Atlantic Region team. She had 562 digs as a junior, 154 as a sophomore and 296 as a freshman.
In her 126 career matches, she had 10 or more digs 70 times, 20 or more digs 31 times, and reached the 30-dig plateau four times. She had a career-high 42 digs in a five-set win over Mercyhurst this season.
Lullo was also among the Warriors’ leaders in aces during her career and had a team-high 31 this season. She had 96 aces over her four years.
She was one of four seniors who were four-year letterwinners for ESU, along with Brianne Bachman, Emily Detter and Alyson Stark. The All-PSAC women’s volleyball teams will be announced next week.
