Papich made an immediate impact during her first week in a Gannon uniform. The true freshman recorded team-highs in points (14) and steals (3) in Gannons 80-68 victory over Northwood. Papich was again Gannon’s top performer in each category during an 80-71 loss to Ferris State with 16 points and four steals.
In her first two collegiate starts, Papich averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3.5 steals and one block. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native was 12-of-25 (48 percent) from the field and 6-of-8 (75 percent) from the free throw line. Papich started both games over the weekend, averaging 32 minutes.
The Lady Knights travel to the California (Pa.) Tournament this weekend to face Molloy College on Saturday, November 27 and Wilmington (Del.) on Sunday, November 28.
