Exum Named NE-10 Freshman of the Week

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - University of New Haven men's basketball freshman Justin Exum (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 14.

The freshman helped lead the Chargers to a 20-point opening game victory over Mercy College on Saturday afternoon. The Brooklyn native scored a game-high 19-points in his first collegiate contest. He also grabbed seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in the Chargers' victory. Exum shot 70-percent (7-of-10) from the floor and 71-percent (5-of-7) from three-point territory.

Exum and the Chargers return to action on Wednesday night when they host American International College in their conference and home opener. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. at Charger Gymnasium.
