Freshman Carolyn Eddy was named the NE-10 Libero of the Week on Monday
LOWELL, MA – Freshman Carolyn Eddy (Dracut, Mass.) was named the Northeast-10 Libero of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The River Hawks’ first recipient of a weekly honor of the season, Eddy tallied 51 digs in a 2-1 week for UMass Lowell, averaging 5.10 digs per set. Her highlight came in the three-set sweep of Post, digging a match-high 19 balls.
Eddy also tallied 17 digs in the sweep of Assumption and 15 digs in the four-set loss to American International.
Early in the day, Eddy was named to the NE-10 All-Conference Rookie Team. She was joined by teammates Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, Mass.) and Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, Calif.) who made the First and Second Team, respectively.
Eddy and the River Hawks head to Pace University tomorrow night to battle the Setters in the Quarterfinals of the NE-10 Conference Tournament.
