Cal State Stanislaus Women's Tennis No. 18 in ITA rankings

In the first, and only, ITA rankings this Fall, the Cal State Stanislaus women's tennis team debut at No. 18 in the nation and No. 4 in the West.

The Campbell's ITA College Tennis Rankings was posted last week prior to the Warriors' trip to Cal State Northridge where they posted great results against Division I opponents.

The preseason poll listed Cal State Stanislaus at No. 18 with UC San Diego the only CCAA team ahead of the Warriors at No. 14. BYU Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific are at No. 2 and No. 7, respectively.

Individually, Verena Preiksachs is in the top 40 with a No. 32 rank while teammate Vanesa Reibstein is ranked 45th.

In the West Region poll, the Warriors came in at No. 4 behind BYU Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific and UC San Diego.

Preiksachs is the No. 6 ranked singles player in the West, followed by Reibstein at No. 8. Katie Eng is ranked 11th. Reibstein and Eng are also ranked No. 4 as a doubles team.

The Warriors completed their Fall tournament schedule last weekend at CSUN and will resume play in February.
