PSAC Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week

PSAC Players of the Week - Dec. 13

PSAC East Player of the Week
Yuseff Carr, Mansfield
F, Sr.,         New York, N.Y./East Transit Tech

Carr helped Mansfield to a 2-1 week as he averaged 17.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor (20-for-32). He also added a total of four assists and three steals on the week. In a 75-72 win over previously unbeaten Mercyhurst, Carr scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor along with six boards and three blocks. In a win over District of Columbia, which avenged an earlier loss, Carr notched his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds along with four blocks and three steals. In a three-point loss to Le Moyne, Carr had 16 points and eight rebounds.


PSAC East Freshman of the Week
Dontahe Jordan, Bloomsburg
G, Fr.,        Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport

Jordan helped the Huskies to a 1-1 by averaging 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while playing off the bench to earn his second East Freshman of the Week award of the season. Jordan made half of his shots from the field (13-for-26) and also went 7-for-10 from the free throw line. In an 88-81 win over Central Penn, Jordan posted the fourth double-double of his young career with 20 points and 13 boards. In a loss to Pitt-Johnstown, he posted 13 points and five boards along with two assists.


PSAC West Player of the Week
Lloyd Harrison, Clarion
G, Sr.,        Detroit, Mich./Southwestern

Harrison averaged 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 3.3 steals in three games for the Golden Eagles, leading them to a 3-0 mark over the last week. Harrison scored in double figures in all three games and finished the week shooting 50 percent from the floor (19-for-38), including 4-of-11 (36.4 percent) from three-point range and also made 10-of-15 free throws. In a 85-80 win over Pitt-Johnstown, Harrison helped rally the Eagles back from a nine-point deficit and his three-pointer with 1:50 remaining put Clarion ahead to stay as he finished with 23 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals, including 10 points and five assists in the second half. Earlier in the week, Harrison posted 21 points and eight assists in a win over Michigan-Dearborn and he ended the week with eight points, seven assists and five steals in just 26 minutes of action in a win over Penn College.


PSAC West Freshman of the Week
Bryan Theriot, Edinboro
C, Fr.,        Middleburg Heights, Ohio/Midpark

Theriot averaged 9.0 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting over 57 percent from the floor (12-for-21) to help the Fighting Scots to a 2-1 record last week. In a romp over Penn State-Greater Allegheny, Theriot scored 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting and also pulled down 16 rebounds. He also made all three free throws and contributed two assists and two blocks in the win. In a narrow seven-point win over Urbana, he scored four points and had six rebounds and a blocked shot in 15 minutes of action. He wrapped up his week with two points and five rebounds and a block in a four-point loss to Central State.
