Moore Wins Second GSC Player of the Week Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Jamar Moore (Coolidge, Ga./Faulkner State CC) of the West Florida men’s basketball team became the first player in the Gulf South Conference East Division to be named GSC Player of the Week twice this season, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.  Moore earned his second career honor after helping lead UWF to a 91-82 win at Delta State on Sunday.

In Sunday’s matchup, Moore scored his third double-double of the season and flirted with a triple double.  Moore matched his career high with 24 points, and he also dished out a career high seven assists.  Moore ranks second on the team with 14.9 points per game, and he has now scored 24 points in each of the team’s last two games, both of which were wins on the road.
