WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Felician College forced 27 turnovers in its 81-73 non-conference women's basketball victory over host University of New Haven on Thursday night at Charger Gymnasium. Felician (8-1) established a school record with its eighth consecutive victory, and improved to 4-0 on the road this season.

Felician put five scorers in double figures, led by Quay Baskerville's (Hartford, CT) 18 points. Freshman Katrina Plummer (West Babylon, NY) posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Nicole Pollard (Swansea, MA) topped New Haven (2-8) with 19 points, all in the second half.

Playing for the first time in 13 days, Felician jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the game's first three minutes. The Chargers came back to trail by one point on two occasions, but the Golden Falcons closed the half an 11-2 run over the final six minutes for 34-24 halftime lead.

Both teams heated up in period two, shooting more than 53 percent for the half. The Golden Falcons maintained a double-digit edge for the first 10 minutes of the second half before seeing the Chargers close to within 59-54 with 8:47 to play. Still ahead by six at the 6:12 mark, Felician received a three-point play by Tierra Cleaves (Paterson, NJ) (10 points) and a Baskerville bucket to move back ahead by 11. The lead hovered between seven and 12 points for the final five minutes. The Golden Falcons withstood seven second-half UNH three-point field goals.
