Dominican's Chavis Named to PacWest Weekly Honor Roll

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Dominican University of California guard Adam Chavis has been named to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Men's Basketball Honor Roll for his outstanding play the week of November 22-28. It is the senior guard's second straight week earning the honor.

Chavis led the Penguins in scoring in a pair of losses to Humboldt State and Chico State. The Oakland, Calif. (Castlemont HS) native averaged 14.5 points and five rebounds per game.

He currently ranks 11th in the PacWest in scoring with 14.3 points per game, ninth in field goal percentage at .535, 15th in free throw percentage (.769), and is tied for 14th in blocked shots (.5) per game.

The Dominican men travel to Cal State LA for a 2:00 p.m. game on Sunday, December 12 before hosting the Dominican Classic at the Conlan Center on December 17 versus Saint Martin's University and December 18 versus nationally ranked Seattle Pacific University. Tipoff for both of those games is slated to start at 7:30 p.m.
