Dominican College men's basketball lose to Post University, 69-60

Orangeburg, NY (12/1/10)  The Dominican College men's basketball team lost their opening game of the 2010 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season as they fell to the visiting Eagles of Post University, 69-60, this evening on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Post never trailed in the game as they took a 34-25 lead into the intermission.  The Chargers cut the deficit to five points (36-41) with 15:50 to go in regulation, but could get no closer than that as the Eagles came away with the 69-60 win.

Senior center Almin Hodzic (Budd Lake, NJ) led the Chargers with 18 points and a game leading nine rebounds, while guard Leon Porter (Laurel, MD) added 10 points and six caroms.  Sophomore Cory Quimby (Otisville, NY) came off the bench to grab seven rebounds in the loss.

With the loss Dominican falls to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the CACC.

DC returns to action on Friday when they take part in the Nyack College Tournament where they will face Slippery Rock University at 5pm.
