Bloomsburg University Men’s Basketball Player Dontahe Jordan Named PSAC East Freshman of the Week

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University men’s basketball player Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport, Williamsport) has been named the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division Rookie of the Year for the period ending Dec. 11.

Jordan helped the Huskies to a 1-1 week by coming off the bench to average 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. In an 88-81 win over Central Penn College, Jordan posted the fourth double-double of his young career with 20 points, which tied his career high, while also adding a career-high 13 rebounds. In a 70-68 loss to Pitt-Johnstown he scored 13 points and had five rebounds while getting two assists, a block and a steal. This is the second time this season that Jordan has been named the Eastern Division Freshman of the Week.

For the year Jordan is third on the Huskies in scoring with 14.3 points per game and leads the team in rebounding with 8.1 per game.

Bloomsburg, 3-5, will be idle till hosting IUP on Monday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson Field House.
