SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Cody Schilling scored a game-high 19 points to lead Augustana to a 68-55 win over U-Mary Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference basketball in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Augustana never trailed in the contest and held a commanding advantage on the glass, outrebounding the Marauders 41-29.
Jordan Wilhelm's 18 points paced U-Mary.
The Vikings' defense shined in the first half, holding the Marauders to just three points in the game's first 11 minutes. The scrappy performance allowed Augustana to hold a 15-point lead at 18-3 with 8:44 before intermission.
Augustana retained their double-digit advantage for the remainder of the first half, thanks to a sudden surge from Schilling. The junior had been quiet to open the game, but he scored all six of his first-half points in the final three minutes of the half.
The Vikings owned a 33-20 lead at the break.
The Marauders chipped their way back to a single-digit difference early in the first half, using a 7-2 to open and trail 35-27 three minutes in. U-Mary had the deficit down to five points three minutes later after Jordan Wilhelm drained a 3-pointer to make it a 40-35 game.
The Vikings, however, returned their lead to double figures and eventually earned themselves a 14-point advantage with 8:27 left. A pair of Schilling free throws at the 3:02 mark put his team up 60-45.
Despite late efforts by U-Mary, including 3-pointers from Eric Erdmann and Wilhelm, Augustana mostly coasted in the games final three minutes by hitting 6 of 6 throws.
The Vikings received solid play from their posts as Nomeland, De Zeeuw and Truex combined for 24 points and 14 rebounds. Augustana scored 28 points in the paint.
