Argos Earn No. 2 Seed in Region and First Round Bye
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – West Florida was one of two schools from the South Region picked to host the first two rounds of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championships, it was announced by the NCAA on Monday night. UWF earned the No. 2 seed in the region, and the Argonauts will play the winner of the first round match between North Alabama and Tampa. UNA and Tampa will kick off on Friday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. at the UWF Soccer Complex, with the winner advancing to face the Argonauts on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 12:30 p.m.
Rollins was named the top seed in the region, and they will host Florida Southern and Florida Tech on their side of the regional tournament. The winners of the two sites will face each other in the third round the following weekend, with the winner advancing to face the winner of the Southeast Region in quarterfinals action.

University of West Florida - Pensacola, Fla.
Match 3: Tampa vs. North Alabama - Nov. 12 - 5 p.m. CT
Match 4: West Florida vs. Winner of Match 3 - Nov. 14 - 12:30 p.m. CT
This year marks the third straight year and the fifth total that UWF has hosted the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The Argonauts received the opening round bye each of the last two seasons, defeating Tampa in the second round in 2008 and North Alabama in the second round in 2009. This year marks the 10th total NCAA postseason appearance for the UWF women’s soccer.
